Better Choices

"We are helping people make better choices," is the progressive mantra for all their little pet projects that end up taking something away. Most Americans think that they could never take this or that away until it is gone. This little line has become the the euphemism for anytime they want to restrict you from doing something. It is not helping you to make a better choice, it is preventing you from making them. They will do this by any means necessary, even coercion. So the next time you hear those harmless little words, you may want to check and see if you still have your wallet.

Do you think I am overreacting, being a little too harsh? If you do, just take a look at the choices they have helped us to make. They took away smoking, candy, salt, guns, trans fats, soda, and made us have a calorie counter at fast food joints using that argument. Heck they are now going after chocolate milk in schools. Really? Chocolate Milk is bad?

You say you agree with some of these; never fear they will eventually get to something you like, they always do. It started with smoking and most people agreed and they didn't stand up. This is called getting the camel's nose under the tent and if your not careful you find that big nasty SOB sharing your sleeping bag. They just keep right on going and sooner or later it will reach you.

Martin Niemoeller, a German Protestant theologian said, "first they came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I was not a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade-unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade-unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up."

You think I have went to far comparing the progressives to NAZI's? Do you really think the NAZI's just started taking people away. Of course not, they built up to it. It is only a matter of time before they trade in the inanimate objects for the animate ones. When will we speak up?

End of Nationalism, End of Nation

"I have been told a hundred times, 'Pat, there is no turning back; it's gone too far; drop it!' I don't believe it. We can restore our country...for all our people. We can take our country back."

                                                                                                                 Patrick Buchanan

The rape of the American mind started at the turn of the twentieth century, but grew exponentially after World War II. This rapid decline started with the loss of our national history and culminated in the loss of our national identity. We lost sight of our glorious past that kept us so proud. Woodrow Wilson said, "a nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about." These words are awful ironic considering Mr. Wilson and his progressive partner Theodore Roosevelt are the founders of the progressive movement that has been the main cause of that destruction of our national history and identity. These things can be cured by simple down home nationalism, the same nationalism that has made this country great. The same nationalism that has made every nation of any stature great and when it is lost, just like in the Roman Empire, that nation is doomed.

Nationalism will make a nation strong, despite its faults, even corruption. That is why our progressive government now preaches multi-culturalism, diversity, and political correctness. Because a strong nation will not long stand corruption. Why? For it is corruption, not repression that causes revolution. The human being can take lots of vile things, especially if it is feed to them slowly, but they hate being cheated. Without the common ground or a shared identity that nationalism brings a revolution can never occur. The age old tactic of divide and conquer.

People from other nations and other cultures have fought tooth and nail, and even our wars, to get into this country and for the right and the privilege to call themselves Americans. Now through this progressive plague of multi-culturalism, diversity and political correctness people are now ashamed to call themselves Americans. These things have made us the laughing stock of our enemies and of the world. No Longer are we the strong, proud AMERICAN that has been envied, looked up to, and even feared throughout the world. We are not the caring and sensitive american, that is the worlds punch line. A bunch of politically correct pansies that would rather muzzle a clear majority, than to "offend" a minute minority, the tyranny of the minority. This is not the America that immigrants fought, bled and died to get to.

The only way to stop this decline and to once again make America strong, despite the corrupt and uncaring government we have, is for people to be unashamed at being an American. Have pride in your nation that has done some many great and wonderful things, and to once and for all let people know that we are not the cause of the worlds ills, we are often times the solution. Yes, good old fashioned nationalism will once again make us that "shining city on the hill" to be the example of freedom loving people the world over. A place where there are no such animals as african-americans, asian-americans, or hispanic-americans. We need to regain the America that people would not ever dream of affixing a hyphen to it, where all are proud Americans. A place where respect, courage, duty and honor actually mean something again, and are not just used as some hokey campaign slogan for some politician that does not even know their meaning.

Theodore Roosevelt said, "either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-American, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans, and Italian-Americans each preserving its separate nationality."
These prophetic words were spoken over 100 years ago. Why did we not listen? Why did we not heed such a clear warning? We have allowed our nation to become that tangled web he warned of and beyond. It now falls to us, you and me, to untie that knot. One American president said, "in your hands, my fellow citizens, more than mine will rest the final success or failure of our course." John F. Kennedy spoke these words and we should listen to them. It is up to us!

We must stop the brainwashing and indoctrination that starts as early as pre-school, by these progressives that preach the benefits of multi-culturalism, diversity, tolerance and political correctness and put our nation back firmly on the course to greatness. The American people once shared a common idea of right , of good, and of freedom that defined this nation better than any words could ever attempt to do. It is time to get that common identity, that common cause, that made us an uncommon people, back. It is time to once again state in a proud, bold voice, "I AM AN AMERICAN!!!"
