Waiting On the World To Change

There was a song a few years back by John Mayer by this name. I just heard it recently on the radio. This should be the anthem for all the lefty emos, reactionaries and occupiers. It defines their logic on problems and it makes no sense whatsoever.

Why is it that you are waiting? That is just not what Americans do, because Americans do something. If we see a problem we go out and do something about it, not wait around for the government to do it for us and complain. We don't need, nor do we want the government to do for us what we should be doing for ourselves and for others. William Jennings Bryan said, "destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

Even though the press ignores it, you see what Glenn Beck and all his volunteers did in Texas during "Restoring Love." That is exactly what Americans do and what you should be doing.

If you see someone in need, help them if you are able. It don't have to money or material things, it can be time or even a simple hello. Don't be like those in that dreadful song waiting on others to do it, as they complain about it.Rush Limbaugh said, "hope is an excuse for doing nothing." Don't let that be your excuse. As a matter of fact, don't have an excuse at all. Do for yourself, do for others and it will come back to you. See the problem and set out to fix it to the best of your ability. That is the American way, that is exactly what has made this country into the greatest superpower ever, and not doing so is going to hasten its fall. Charity and the "can do" spirit is exactly what will pull us from this mess we find ourselves in, not waiting and hoping.
