Spoonfed Socialism

"We can't expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism until they awaken one day to find they have communism." These are the words of former Soviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev. Words that are being proven true everyday and was even documented after the fall of the Berlin Wall and papers were uncovered of the collusion of the soviets, most notably with the late Sen Teddy Kennedy.

You don't believe it? Say it can never happen? Well, what else would you call it when we have more social programs than we can count and are adding to that with a break neck speed. Or when you force working people to pay for the laziness of others. Or when you have more people working in the government than you do manufacturing. Now we even have a big bad health care bill that every socialist nation on earth has. Or when you have elected officials telling you you can't smoke, use salt, eat trans fat, drink big gulps or even feed your baby formula.

Under the guise of liberalism, diversity, multi-culturalism, tolerance and political correctness we have sacrificed our freedoms. That is the socialism Mr Khrushchev predicted. Even an Early 20th century socialist party learner warned us, "the American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until America will one day be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened."

Today is that day and sadly it is our own fault. We allowed this to happen and did not guard our liberty as we were instructed to by our founders. Ronald Reagan even warned us of this forty years ago saying,"freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We did not pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free." We were warned by many great voices, yet we failed to heed those warnings and remained complacent as they spoon fed us socialism and eroded our great Republic.

We are now in dire need of those great voices once again. Yours, mine, your neighbors and your family. That silent majority can no longer remain silent and can never again be complacent. The TEA Party, 9/12 groups, Freedom Works and the like are awesome, but they are not enough. We need all Americans, all lovers of liberty to stand and be heard and it begins in November. Don't let that much spoke about ember of freedom die out on our watch. It is time for us to take a stand , do our duty and stand guard over our nation and that flame of liberty, that way our children won't have to ask us what it is like to be free. They will know.
