Can't Do It

I was going to try to refrain from writing on every little daily issue that the talking heads pontificate on so loudly, but this one is huge.  So huge that it takes the air out of the room for everything else. I felt a need though to comment on a few things.

One is all the cheering in the streets over Osama bin Laden's death. I am sorry, but I find that more than a little creepy. It actually reminds me of the terrorist and those that support them chanting "death to America." Sure, be glad that we got him. It was a long time coming. It is not a cause for celebration though, be of remeberance of why we were after him to begin with, on all the good men and women we lost in the process, and how there is still a massive fight that is before us. We should be glad, not cheer and let it strengthen our resolve.

Another one is that the many talking heads not giving President Obama his due. It is ridiculous! I do not agree with much, heck nothing he has done, but he deserves massive kudos for this. Those talking heads not doing so are being the very thing they accuse the liberals of being. Partisan for the sake of partisanship. They aren't being true to their stated beliefs, nor to the public. Thank you Glenn Beck and Michael Savage for being men. The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

The third and last thing is similar to the second. The administration should also give credit where credit is due and for John Brennan, our wholly unqualified terrorism czar, to get on the news  and state that enhanced interrogation had no role in this is plain silly. You want people to give you credit when it is your due, so how about some reciprocity. His comments diminish the brilliance of the mission.

Semper Fidelis and God Bless America.
